Reporting

Reports are always generated using the scanned questionnaires included by the currently defined filter criteria (see Filtering Scanned Questionnaires).

Speedquest provides three default styles of reports
  • Pie Charts.
  • Bar Charts.
  • Frequency Tables.

Click on any of the report types to see a sample report displayed in preview (see Previewing a Report).

    To produce a report
  • Ensure that all the data required for reporting on is included by the current filter criteria.
  • On the toolbar left click , or or alternatively from the Process menu, select Reports then Pie Report, Bar Chart Report or Frequency Table as required.
  • Make the appropriate selections in the Report Setup dialog.

From the Report Setup dialog the output can be directed to a printer, an on screen preview or a file (a number of standard reporting file types are available). Depending on the printer there may be other options available either on this dialog or by clicking the Setup button.

There are a number of options available to customise reports. Some customisations are report type specific and some will effect more than one report type.
  • Questions can be specifically included or excluded (see Inhibiting Text from being Reported On).
  • Headings and column or page throws can be optionally inserted before questions in the pie and bar chart reports (see Setting Text Reporting Details).
  • Elements of the page headers and footers can be optionally included, excluded or replaced (see Report Application Defaults).
  • Aesthetic details on the pie and bar charts can be modified (see Pies/Bars Application Defaults).

If other styles of report are required there are export facilities in Speedquest to allow the data to be manipulated in other reporting packages (see Exporting Data). Alternatively requests for bespoke reports will always be considered by Speedwell (see Contacting Speedwell).
