Filtering Scanned Questionnaires
Filtering allows the selection of subsets of the successfully scanned questionnaires for the purposes of reporting and exporting.
To filter scanned questionnaires
On the data editing interface right click any questionnaire and select the popup menu option Filter or alternatively from the Data menu select Filter.
The following filter dialog is displayed

The way questionnaire details are processed means that under certain circumstances some of the filter options will be unavailable. While unavailable these options will be 'greyed out' (in the example above see the filter option Lookup Filter On).
The filter status of scanned questionnaires is expressed in the Filt column in the Data Editing Interface. Scanned questionnaires which are included by the current filter criteria are always shown, those which are excluded by the current filter criteria can be optionally hidden.
To hide (or subsequently reveal) scanned questionnaires which are excluded by the current filter criteria
On the data editing interface right click any questionnaire and select the popup menu option Filtered Shown or alternatively from the Data menu select Filtered Shown. When those scanned questionnaires which are excluded by the current filter criteria are shown this menu option will be preceded by a tick.
Scanned questionnaires can be filtered using criteria based on
The raw data (see Filtering Using Data)
The scanned batches (see Filtering Using Batches)
Any lookups available (see Filtering Using Lookups)
Any numerics available (see Filtering Using Numerics)
Additionally combinations of the above may be used (see Filtering Using Combinations).
If a filter is likely to need to be reused regularly the options associated with it can be saved for later restoration (see Using the Filter Library).
