Saving Questionnaires

During the development and use of a questionnaire changes that have occurred will need to be saved.

These changes may occur in the design of the questionnaire or the collection and modification of data associated with the questionnaire.

To save a modified questionnaire
  • On the toolbar left click , or alternatively from the File menu select Save.

If the questionnaire has been previously numbered, named and saved the save will take place and the following advice will be displayed when the save is complete.

If the questionnaire is being saved for the first time a numeric identifier (see User Specified Questionnaire Number) and a file name are required.

If the questionnaire is preprinted (see Preprinted vs Overprinted) and still has draft status (see Draft vs Live) then confirmation to keep draft status or move to live status is requested in the following dialog.

This dialog can contain an additional warning message. While it is a design feature of Speedquest to allow the use or omission of text areas on response sheets it is unlikely that a questionnaire would be intentionally designed with no response options at all. If an attempt is made to save a preprinted draft questionnaire in this state the following dialog is displayed.

If modifications have taken place to a questionnaire and subsequent further actions require the RSQ file (see Speedquest Data Files) associated with the questionnaire to be closed then the following save dialog is displayed.
