Creating Questionnaires

A questionnaire is a response sheet with some questions, each with a selection of possible options, printed on it.

Questionnaires can contain significant text. This can be in the form of headings, information, instructions, questions and response details.

Some response sheets have all the text preprinted and others require Speedquest to overprint it.

In either case the question texts and options still need to be defined in Speedquest. Speedquest needs this information to collect the data from the sheets correctly and to produce meaningful reports.

A questionnaire can be created from an existing Speedquest data file (RSD or RSQ).

To create a blank questionnaire
  • On the toolbar left click , or alternatively from the File menu select New then From RSD.
  • In the Select RSD dialog select the required file.

To create a new questionnaire based on a previously used questionnaire
  • On the toolbar left click , or alternatively from the File menu select New then From RSQ.
  • In the Select RSQ dialog select the required file.

When opening a new questionnaire from an existing RSQ all the question texts and response details are copied over. Any scanned data, and details referring to the scanned data are not.

Once a new questionnaire is opened it can be modified to the intended design (see Modifying Questionnaires).
