Import Statistics
If an examination has been defined within the General Purpose Question Bank, then question statistics from that examination will normally be imported using the Examination|Import Statistics function (see Import Examination Statistics). However examination statistics may be imported from Multiquest without an examination having previously been defined.
It is possible to export statistics from Multiquest in either the old Itembank for Windows format, or in the new GPQB format. (preferable to use, as more statistical information is exported.)
To import question statistics
1. Select Import Statistics from the Tools menu.
The Import Statistics window opens

2. Choose the type of file to import from, either Itembank for Windows (old style), or GPQB (current style). Then choose the file containing the examination statistics.
In order to associate the statistics with the appropriate questions, it is necessary to know the numbers of those questions in the bank. If the questions have been imported from Itembank for Windows, and the examination run in Multiquest using the export file from that system (the WEX file), then the bank question numbers will be present in that file. If such a file is not available for the examination, then you will be asked to specify it.
A screen is then displayed showing any information available from the import file for that examination.

If any information is not available you will need to specify it. The information required is the examination number, name and date, and the numbers of the questions within the bank.

When all the required information has been entered, click OK. A check is then made of the questions in the import file against the questions in the bank. If there are any discrepancies a report is produced. Likely errors are that a question is not found in the bank, or the correct answers do not match. Either correct the errors, or import the statistics anyway.
