Import Examination Statistics

Once the candidates' answer papers have been read and scored using Multiquest or OSCE, the examination question statistics can be imported into the bank. To do this the examination must be locked (see Lock Examination).

To import question statistics for an examination

1. Select the examination on the examinations screen

2. Choose Import Statistics from the Examinations menu
  • or right click and select Import Statistics

    3. Select the statistics file created by Multiquest.}
  • The selected file is first checked to see if it is for the selected examination, if not it is rejected. If the file is correct then the question statistics are imported. This may take a few seconds.

    Warnings
  • If the question statistics have been previously imported for any question for  this examination, then you will be warned. You can choose to override the previous statistics with these new figures, or keep the old statistics and ignore these new ones.

  • If the correct answers have been changed in MultiQuest, this is flagged and a report is produced, the user can then decided to continue with the import anyway (with the changed answers).  The correct answer will not be changed in the bank, but the statistics for that exam will reflect the change.

  • It is possible to import statistics from Multiquest even if the exam has not been set up within or exported from the bank.  In this case a screen is displayed asking for the Question numbers to entered.
