Creating a New Examination


1. Click on   
  • or Click on New on the toolbar or from the Examination drop down menu.
     
    This will display the New Examination screen.  

    2. The Examination number will automatically default to the next examination number generated.  This can be changed if required.  The examination date will default to today's date.  To set a different date click on the down arrow at the side of the box.  The current calendar month will appear.  To move through the year use the back and forward arrows either side of the month.  Click on the date required.

    3. Enter the Examination name and Number of Questions required click on OK to confirm.

    This will display the Edit Examination screen.

    4. Enter free text into the Description and Instruction text boxes.

    5. If you wish to change the folder where the Examination file is held Browse will display a list of available folders, otherwise use the default folder shown in the box.

    6. Enter the First Question Number, this is the number of the first question in the examination (default is 1).

    7. Question number style and Item number style allow you to define the way each question and its items will be printed.

    8. The Separator allows you to define how you wish to separate the question or item numbers from their text.
     
    9.Click on OK when the Examination set up is completed.

    Once the Examination parameters above have been defined, select questions for inclusion in the Examination.
