The housing needs of a local community are complex and broad. Local councils provide a range of services, from rented accommodation to low cost home ownership schemes, as well as housing grants, housing associations, and the housing register. In addition, they provide strategic leads on planning and re-development whilst managing relationships with developers and the residents in the communities they serve.
