Preparing an OSCE

Preparation for an OSCE can be extremely time consuming. The Speedwell system enables administrators to enter individual station material into the system. Alternatively, stations can be selected from  Speedwell's 'Question Bank' and the OSCE built this way. 'Question Bank' holds all relevant station material along with performance statistics relating to the how well the station 'performed' in previous  examinations.

Because the system can allocate candidates to starting positions on the circuit(s), and where appropriate sessions and centres - personalised sets of candidate answer sheets may be produced in the correct sequence for each candidate, or for interactive (manned) stations- assessor grade sheets for each station.

Each candidate answer sheet or assessor grade sheet is designed around the contents of the station and completed by either the candidate, or for interactive stations an assessor. Control is maintained throughout by personalising each of these sheets - candidate number along with station and circuit information is encoded on each sheet, guaranteeing that no errors can occur when the OSCE is scored.
