Exporting Statistics
The 'Export Statistics' option allows question and item statistics to be exported for further analysis. To export the statistics select Export Statistics from the File menu.
There are three options available, it is possible to export the statistics to Itembank for Windows (V1) or QuestionBank, each of which then maintains statistics for each time the question was used in an examination. The other option is a custom export which allows you to choose which figures to export.
For an ItemBank for Windows (V1) export
Click 'Itembank for windows (V1)' in the 'Type' box, and then click on the Next button. The file is ready to be created, click on the Create button. The file name defaults to the same as the response file name with the extension '.exp', this file can then be imported into ItemBank for Windows. (See screenshots)
For a QuestionBank export
Click 'QuestionBank' in the 'Type' box, and then click on the Next button. The file is ready to be created, click on the Create button. The file name defaults to the same as the response file name with the extension '.exp', this file can then be imported into QuestionBank. (See screenshots)
For a Custom export
Click 'Custom Export' in the 'Type' box, then select the statistics you want to export. Note that certain options may not be available if they are inappropriate to the style of exam. When you have chosen, click on the Next button. You then have the option to change the order in which the figures are produced. When complete click Next and then choose the options for the file layout. (See screenshots)
