Adding a Sub Exam


To add a sub-exam to an exam definition -

1.   Click on the required exam in the list on the left-hand side of the screen ('Available
     Sheets/Exam Styles') to highlight it.

2.   Click
.

3.   Enter the name of the new sub-exam in the first box on the right-hand side of the
     screen.

4.   Enter a short description of the sub-exam to be printed at the top of columns in reports.

5.   Enter the number of the first
response used in this sub-exam. (this must be equal to or
     greater than the number of the first response in the parent exam.)

6.   Enter the number of
responses used in this sub-exam. (Note that this need not be the
     same as the number of questions, but must be within the range of responses
     specified in the parent exam.)

7.   A
non-contiguous set of responses may be chosen for the sub-exam, click on the 'non            contiguous' box.

8.   Enter the
weighted score for the sub-exam.

9.   If a
grade scheme is required, click on the (...) button alongside the Grade Scheme
     box. The
Grade Scheme Selection window is displayed.

10. Click
.

The newly defined sub-exam appears in the list on the left-hand side of the screen below and to the right of the parent exam as below.



Sub-exams may have sub-sub-exams defined within them.
